How RALI Turns Sensor Signals Into Events

When you use a RALI connected device, sensors can detect physical changes and turn those changes into information you can understand and use.

It Starts With a Sensor

A sensor detects changes in the physical world. Depending on the RALI device, this may include movement, weight, position, time, or other measurable information. A single reading is one observation at one moment, so its meaning becomes clearer when you consider when it was collected and what happened around it.

From Signals to Events

A raw signal becomes more useful when it is organized as an event. RALI can associate a measurement with a time, device, and surrounding sequence of information. Reviewing events in order helps you see what happened before, during, and after a change instead of relying on an isolated number.

A measurement shows what a sensor detected. An event adds time and context. A history of events makes comparison possible.

Automatic and Manual Information

Connected devices and sensors can record information automatically as you use them. Information you enter yourself can add details that a sensor may not capture. Consider both sources together: what the device recorded, what the sensor measured, what you entered, and when each piece of information appeared.

Why Timing Matters

Time gives measurements a useful frame of reference. Compare information collected during similar periods and look across more than one reading. A recent difference may look important beside the previous measurement but ordinary when viewed across a longer history. Repeated timing can also help reveal recurring patterns.
